I feel somewhat encouraged by the article. I now have a better understanding of how to interpret results in reference to assessing my students’ performance on any given assessment.

Our whole school has just completed STAR and the yongest clas is testing out Star Early Literacy…on a tril basis! Am thrilled with it. We have a little one who entered in August…..not knowing, colors numbers nor the difference between the. How she’s changed…can write both small & caps, identifies items of various colors and the related words. I introduced her to STAR EL and saw her start……happy as a lark….20 minutes later she told me she had finished! What a gift to have an accurate assessment while I was working with the rest of her class. Our primary teacher is retiring after 41 years here so I am reccommending purchaing this program for the new first yuear teacher who is actually an alumna and former student of AR & STAR here at Kurn Hattin Homes…see…Thanks again, Sally
