CEIS funding covers K–12 students, with an emphasis on students in kindergarten through grade 3. Within your school’s RTI framework, the funds could be used to purchase Star Assessments (with the exception of those used for universal screening), Star Phonics, Accelerated Reader, myON, Freckle, Lalilo, and Nearpod to spark the growth of Tier II students who have not reached grade-level proficiency.

CEIS funds also pay for professional development. In addition to the variety of virtual and onsite professional development options enabling you to use these solutions most effectively, Renaissance provides expert coaching via phone and email to help strengthen the connection of student data and the action plans needed to boost their achievement. CEIS allows special education staff and teachers of Tier I students to participate in these data coaching sessions. You, your colleagues, and a dedicated Renaissance Coach will discuss what your data is telling you and how it impacts daily classroom instruction. The insights gained from this personalized coaching throughout the school year will help drive instructional decisions that can reduce the possibility of students moving into special education and increase the likelihood that they can experience success as Tier I learners.
