Built with functionality and ease of use in mind, we are excited to introduce the New Item Bank in DnA. The New Item Bank has a redesigned and improved user interface that makes browsing for items and creating assessments easier and more efficient than ever in DnA.

DnA is a K–12 standards-based assessment creation and administration platform providing instant scoring, formative feedback, and interactive reporting. Educators can build their own assessments using DnA’s highest-quality item bank or by customizing any of DnA’s 600+ prebuilt assessments to create assessments tightly aligned to their scope and sequence.

Here are a few key enhancements live now in DnA’s New Item Bank, with more coming soon:

Users can browse by item or passage ID, standard, bank, item type, author, language, and so much more.
- Recently released: New filters that allow you to search for items that are locked or unlocked and items that are already in use in assessments at your district

DNA more browsing options and flexibility — More options and flexibility when browsing items

Allows for the authoring of new item types, including Drag in the Blank, Hot Spot, Evidence-Based Selected Response (EBSR), Matching Table, Multiple Binary, and Ordering.
- Recently released: Graphing, this automatically scored item type allows for students to directly interact with a graph, by plotting objects like points and lines, and in some cases also labeling them.

Question Groups by Item Types, so you can quickly generate reports by item type to spot trends

Item Validation to alert you when minimum authoring requirements have not been met or if a correct answer was not defined.

Content Feedback, which allows you to easily submit comments or suggestions to the Content team.

Includes Inspect and Publisher content and supports many new technology-enhanced item types not previously available in DnA.
Item weights can also be adjusted by item on each assessment.
