Students with Star Early Literacy scores can now start their Lalilo journey at the just-right level.

Using Star Early Literacy to place students into Lalilo gives educators a clear picture of the literacy development of their whole class—and the personalized practice each student needs to ensure they are ready to read-to-learn by grade 3.

How does it work?

When a class completes a Star Early Literacy assessment, the teacher receives an email from Lalilo with their Star scores. Star scores will be available in Lalilo 24 hours after students take the Star Early Literacy assessment. Lalilo uses the Star Early Literacy scores to pre-place students into the scope and sequence. Students will then take the Lalilo precision placement so Lalilo can build out their unique learning progression.

Note that Lalilo will use Star Early Literacy scores from the past 60 days, provided that students have not started practicing in Lalilo yet. Once students are placed in Lalilo, they will follow the learning progression Lalilo creates for them.

Using Star Early Literacy scores to pre-place students into Lalilo saves students time and avoids possible frustration by starting their precision placement at their skill level, as opposed to their grade level. Star Early Literacy and Lalilo work with any curriculum and support a range of teaching and learning styles: whole group, small group, literacy centers, and even RTI/MTSS models.
