At Renaissance, we continually evaluate and enhance our products to meet the needs of all educators and students. With this in mind, we are excited to announce that Star Phonics is now integrated with the Renaissance Growth Platform (RGP).

What does this mean for schools and districts? 

Integrating Star Phonics with the RGP gives you convenient access to all of your Renaissance products by housing them in one platform. In addition to the ease of access, Star Phonics customers can use RGP for single sign-on and rostering: 

• Single sign-on. Star Phonics now has its own tile on the RGP home page, in both the student and educator views. All Star Phonics users will need to access the single sign-on through RGP to log in to Star Phonics instead of using the direct URL, starphonics.renaissance.com. If you have multiple Renaissance products, the Renaissance Growth Platform home screen looks similar to the image below. You’ll see Star Phonics in the lower area of the RGP home screen. Your other Renaissance products, reports, and best practices continue to be accessible via the home screen.

If Star Phonics is your only Renaissance product, the Renaissance Growth Platform looks similar to the image below. Star Phonics is accessible via the student and teacher views. Reports and best practices are also available through the teacher view. 

• Rostering. All Star Phonics rostering can now be completed through RGP. Existing rostering capabilities are no longer available. For more information on rostering on the Renaissance Growth Platform, click here. 

Are you new to Star Phonics? 

Star Phonics, aligned with the Science of Reading, is a web-based assessment that takes less than 5 minutes to administer per student and immediately reports how well students are developing phonics skills in 12 of the most critical categories and 102 phonics skills for grades 1-6+. Star Phonics, along with Lalilo, an adaptive and engaging early literacy practice tool for K-2+, form the core of the Renaissance Foundational Literacy solution. 

Is Star Phonics included with Star Assessments? 

Star Phonics is not included with Star Assessments. Star Phonics will continue to be sold separately as a stand-alone product.
